Meet Xiaomi Mi MiX with boarder-less display, a concept smartphone

Xiaomi introduced Mi MiX concept smartphone at its Beijing event, it is a limited edition Smartphone that made in collaboration with French designer Philippe Stark. Main highlight of the Mi MiX is its boarder-less display with curved edges on top, the device has 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Mi MiX has two variant 4GB/128GB model and 6GB/256GB model.

Mi MiX bears a ceramic body, the earpiece speaker and proximity sensor are completely hidden. A piezoelectric acoustic ceramic speaker is used at earpiece and ultrasonic proximity sensor is used in the place of traditional front-facing infrared sensor. The size of front facing camera is reduce to 50% and is placed at the bottom right corner of the phone.

The Mi MiX supports dual-SIM (Nano+Nano), it has 6.4-inch display with a 17:9 aspect ratio, a 1080×2040 resolution and 362ppi pixel density. The device is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, paired with 4GB/ 6GB RAM. The device is powered by a 4,400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.

Xiaomi Mi MiX has 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and PDAF. And on front side there is a 5-megapixel camera. The connectivity options of Mi MAX include a 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC with Mi Pay support, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and a USB Type-C port. The sensor list include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, electronic compass, and gyroscope.

The Mi MiX is priced at ¥ 3,499 (Rs. 34,990) for the 4GB/128GB model and ¥ 3,999 (Rs.39,990) for the 6GB/256GB model. It will be available in china from 4th Nov.
