HTC introduced HTC U Play,the smaller version of HTC U Ultra

HTC introduced HTC U Play at launched event of HTC U Ultra, the HTC U Play is a smaller version of the HTC U Ultra without a secondary screen. HTC U Play also has HTC Sense Companion for AI-based suggestions. AI assistant that comes with 4 Always-on active microphones that will help you unlock your phone with voice commands, and Sense Companion will learn user behaviour over time and offers intelligent suggestion.

The HTC U Play has same glass design with a metal frame but this model does not comes with sapphire glass. The fingerprint sensor is equipped on home button. The smartphone supports hybrid dual SIM (nano+nano/microSD).

The HTC U Play comes with 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with Mali T860 GPU. The smartphone has two memory variants first one has 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and second variant comes with 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, both variants will expandable up to 2TB via microSD. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The smartphone offers 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and OIS. And on the front side there is 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens, UltraPixel mode. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB 2.0 Type-C and GPS with GLONASS. The smartphone comes with 2500mAh battery with fast charging.

The HTC U Play comes in Sapphire Blue, Comestic Pink, Brilliant Black and Ice White colors. However launch date and pricing details still not revealed.
