As expected Samsung finally launched 2017’s edition of its Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 smartphones in India on Monday. Earlier both smartphones were launched Russia first. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) has been priced at Rs. 28,990 and Rs. 33,490, both smartphones will be available in Black Sky and Gold Sand colour in India. Pre booking of both Smartphone began from Monday and both smartphone will go on sale from March 15.
Both Smartphones carries same specifications except battery capacity, Display size and body dimension. Both smartphone sports 3D glass curved body with Metal frame. Both smartphones are IP68 certified for dust and water resistance The Galaxy A5 (2017) measures 146.1×71.4×7.9mm while Galaxy A7 (2017) measures 156.8×77.6×7.9mm.The fingerprint sensor is mounted on home button in both phones.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) sports a 5.2-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display while the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) comes with a 5.7-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. Both smartphones are powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and both run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphones offers 32GB of inbuilt storage with an option of expanding it up to 256GB via MicroSD card.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphones both has a 16-megapixel rear and front camera with an f/1.9 aperture. However the rear camera has a LED flash. The connectivity options of the both phones includes 4G (LTE Cat. 6) with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, a USB Type-C port coupled with a 3.5mm audio jack and NFC. Both phones come with the same sensors – an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The Galaxy A5 (2017) has a 3000mAh battery on the other hand the Galaxy A7 (2017) has a 3600mAh battery.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) also offers Always on Display, Samsung Pay support, Samsung Cloud and Secure Folder.
