Xiaomi launched its flagship smartphone, the Mi Note 2 with dual-curved design, at its event in Beijing. The Mi Note 2 comes with a stylish dual-curved design on both the front and the back and it has dual-edge curved display like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 7. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be available in three variants: a 4GB RAM/ 64GB, a 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage mode and a 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage Global Edition model. The device will be available in Piano Black and Glacial Silver colour.
The Mi Note 2 has a 5.7-inch OLED FullHD display, curved on both sides and it has 77.2% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 Performance Edition SoC paired with 4GB/ 6GB RAM. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The fingerprint sensor is equipped with the home button. It has a 4070mAh battery to power the device with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Note 2 has a 22.56-megapixel Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and EIS with its own 3-axis gyroscope for 4K video stabilisation. On the front side there is an 8-megapixel Sony IMX268 Exmor RS sensor camera with an f/2.0 aperture, Group selfie feature and Auto Beautify 3.0.
The Mi Note 2 offers LTE speeds up to 6000Mbps and it also offering a virtual SIM, indicating MVNO support. The connectivity option of the device include Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/-AGPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and USB Type-C. It has NFC connectivity, with support for Mi Pay.
The Mi Note 2 is priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 27,600) for 4GB RAM/ 64GB model, CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 32,600) for 6GB RAM/ 128 GB storage model, and CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 34,500) for the Global Edition 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model. The smartphone is currently available for pre-orders in China, and goes on sale from November 1.
