The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus has been launched by Motorola at MWC 2017 in Barcelona. The big highlight is that the devices integrate Google Assistant. Both the smartphones includes Motorola exclusive features such as Moto Display, Actions, twist gesture, and a new one-hand mode on the larger G5 Plus. Both the phones runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
As expected the G5 and G5 Plus both comes with metal body and a circular camera bump at the back. Both smartphones come with fingerprint scanners that is equipped with Home button.
The G5:
The Moto G5, the smartphone comes with a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and it is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 processor and coupled with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and the G5 comes in 2GB/16GB or 3GB/ 32GB memory variants, that can be expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card.
The Moto G5 equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash, and on front side a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera is equipped. The Moto G5 comes with a 2800mAh removable battery that supports fast charging.
The G5 Plus:
the Motorola G5 Plus sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and is is powered by the 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor that is coupled with 3GB / 4GB RAM option depend on memory variants. The G5 Plus comes in two storage option; 32GB and 64GB that can be expanded further upto 128GB via a microSD card.
The Moto G5 Plus is equipped with ‘the most advanced’ 12-megapixel back camera with dual autofocus, 4K video recording, f/1.7 aperture, and dual-LED flash. And on front side Moto G5 Plus has 5-megapixel wide-angle camera. The G5 Plus has 3000mAh non-removable battery with TurboPower charging that gives 6 hours’ worth of battery life in just 15 minutes.
Both smartphone will be available from March in Lunar Grey, and Fine Gold colour variants, some carrier subscribers will get an exclusive Sapphire Blue variant as well. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus has been priced at EUR 199 (roughly Rs. 14,000) and EUR 279 (roughly Rs. 15,300) respectively, and both phone will be available in India and rest of world by March.
