Sony introduced its Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs at its MWC event in Barcelona. The Xperia XZ Premium is a high-end variant, while Xperia XZs is a smaller variant. The Xperia XZ Premium will be available in late spring, pricing details of XZ Premium is still not revealed. The Xperia XZs will arrive in April 5 and it will priced at $700 ( around Rs 46,000/).
The Xperia XZ Premium
The Xperia XZ Premium has Glass Loop Surface, Gorilla Glass 5 wraps around the whole phone. The phone has IP68 certification means it is waterproof (IP68) but prone to sinking. It measures at 156x77x7.9mm, and weighs 195 grams. The fingerprint scanner is equipped with power button. The Xperia XZ Premium will be available in Luminous Chrome and Deepsea Black colours.
The Xperia XZ Premium has a 5.5-inch Triluminos HDR display with 4K (2160 x 3840) resolution. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB RAM. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The new Xperia XZ Premium comes with 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 256 GB via a microSD slot.
The new Xperia XZ Premium has a 19-megapixel camera with Sony’s new Motion Eye camera system (based its new memory stacked 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor) that offers 5x faster image scanning and data transfer. Camera also offers slow motion video – that allows to slow down time 4x slower than current camera phones. On the front side there is 13-megapixel camera with 1/3.06-inch Exmor RS sensor.
Connectivity options of the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C (USB 3.1) port. Sony XZ Premium has a 3230mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 UCH12Wix.
Sony Xperia XZs

The fingerprint scanner is equipped with power button. The Xperia XZ Premium will be available in Warm Silver, Ice Blue and Black.
The Sony Xperia XZs comes with a 5.2-inch (1080×1920 pixels) Triluminos display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM. The Xperia XZs will comes in two storage option; 32GB and 64GB with an option of expand it upto 256GB via microSD slot.
Sony Xperia XZs battery is capacity is rated at 2900mAh, and the device measures 146x72x8.1 mm, and weighs 161 grams. All of the other Sony Xperia XZs specifications are identical to that of Xperia XZ Premium. The smartphone will be available in select markets from April onwards in Ice Blue, Warm Silver and Black colours.
Sony Xperia XZs also has a 19MP Motion Eye™ camera with 1/ 2.3” Exmor RS™ for mobile memory stacked sensor and 25mm (equiv.) f/2.0 lens. And also offers Predictive and Laser autofocus, plus an RGBC-IR sensor for natural colour rendering. The device can record 4K video, of course, and offers SteadyShot 5-axis digital stabilization. The front camera offers a 13MP (1/3.06”) sensor with a 22mm wide-angle lens.
