Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 with fingerprint reader, 41oomAh battery starts at Rs 6,999 only.

Xiaomi launched its Redmi 4 today at an event in New Delhi. The Redmi 4 will come in 3 different RAM and storage variants; 2GB RAM and 16 GB storage, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. All the phones come with great specifications in the budget ranges.

The 2GB RAM & 16GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 6,999, the 3GB RAM & 32GB storage variant is  priced at Rs. 8,999, while the 4GB RAM & 64 GB variant will come at Rs 10,999. All the three variant will come in Matte Black and Elegant Gold colour option. The Redmi 4 will go on sale from 12PM on 23 May via Amazon.in and Mi.com, however pre booking of smartphone will starts today, the pre booking amount is Rs 1000. The Redmi 4 will also available at Xiaomi’s newly launched Mi Home from 20th May.

The Redmi 4 came with all- metal body design with 2.5D class panel on front. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on back of smartphone in all variants. The smartphones have hybrid dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) options.

The Redmi 4 comes with  a 5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC coupled with 2GB/ 3GB/ 4GB of RAM. It runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, however Xiaomi said that all the variants will get the Android 7.0 Nougat updates. The Redmi 4 will be available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB inbuilt storage options that is expandable upto 128GB  via microSD card.

The Redmi 4 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash, while on the front side, it has a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture. the connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, Bluetooth v4.1, and 3.5mm audio jack. It also sports an infrared sensor. It is powered by a 4100mAh battery.
